Prayer is a discipline! Luke 18:1 KJV, 'And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint..' It is very natural to feel lazy about prayers..this is because prayer is a spiritual exercise and you know there's always a fight between the flesh and the spirit. However, it is our responsibility to subdue our flesh because we cannot live a successful Christian life without a rich prayer life.
Prayer is an attitude! Luke 5:16 NKJV, "So He (Jesus) Himself often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed." There are so many references in the Bible about Jesus going away to pray. Luke 6:12 KJV,.."And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God." If Jesus our Lord could pray as often as He did, being who He is, how much more you and I?
Prayer is also a seed! Revelation 8:4 KJV,.."And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand." Read your Bible, each time Jesus prayed, mighty miracles took place afterward. Prayer makes power available. James 5:16 AMP, ..."The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]." We have different types of prayer, we'll discuss in the future. God bless you even as you remember to pray always.
